hello June !

And hello me, sitting by the computer in my snowboarding coat at our summer cottage. AT the outside deck. The only damn place where the internet managed to work with me. AND IT'S COLD.And it's June. It is meant to be summer.
Anyway, my life is quite nice in here. I really do like my job as a waitresser.
It's fun, it's relaxed and it's money. Our place is very small and we don't take life too seriously there and neither does our summer-loving customers. It's so much easier when people have time and they tell it to you and say " Hey, it's okay it takes awhile, I understand".
And suddenly, the beertap starts working and the unmanagedable reciet makes sense. You have time to count in your head and then a amazingly warm and uncontrollaby happy smile comes to your face and it just doesn't leave from there for the whole day. People say to me that how on earth can you stay SO happy and so excited about people for the whole day but I just can't think of serving customers ( you know, beer and food etc) with a serious or "I just woke up"-face. It just doesn't belong to that job.
Well, it could be different working at a local petrol station or somewhat but our place is so chill and so awesome and my fellow working mates are hilarious :DD Hahahha we have good time that's for sure.
And a hint if you happen to drive around Turku or nearby, I'm quite good at making drinks..

So yea ! Welcome !
And now we are just hoping for warmer and sunnier days cause they bring out the customers and they bring out the money.
In the meanwhile, I've been concentrating on new friendships, managing parties, having good time during Midummer's Eve, also known as Juhannus. A party that we celebrate here in Finland nearby the longest day of the year and everybody goes to their summerhouses or be with friends and drink and eat throughout the whole night when the sun doesn-t set at all.
Well, I worked. But it was so much fun cause people were having fun, they had a holiday, thay had their friends, they had alcohol, they had THE SUN.

And then..yea well, I've been biking around, hosted friends in here, thought about things way too much, read books, watched Finnish Girls in New York, cried my heart out in the season finale of Greys Anatomy, missed my mates in New Zealand, made good food, have been scared to be alone, made a new, awesome friend, eat lots, drank heaps..Quite nice ae !
And now it's gonna continue with work, reading to final exams and waiting for good partys.. Yesterday was damn right ! My wicked mate Annika invited herself to our summerhouse and we had awesome night of watching soccer(yes, I do support Fernando Torres and Spain for life but look at this one..also known as Valliano..)


Drinking sparkly wine and eating our traditional treat, RAHKA. We have taken it to the whole new level, with a lemon-melissa(or what ever..)



And there's just no summer without the absolute sexy package, the cottage-style. It is the jackpot style with way too old sweatpants, some old and dirty and out-of-size hoodie and of course, the countable and amazing, CROCS-shoes.
And the worst part is that I'm actually spending all my days when I'm not at work, in this kind of outfit. If it were warmer, the pants would be some old shorts witt flowers on.



But don't you juuuust love it, light night, good laughs and some sparkly drink. Goooorgeous !!

It's summer ! if you didn't know..Well, I've had really good times this week. And got tanned yeeees. Which I don't keep in a very WHOA- folder of my priorities in life. I don't really care is a person tanned or not, of course it's nice to show that..wait, what do you actually show?? : D "I've been outside"
Yea well, don't you know that yourself when you remember all those fabulous times outside..Well, anyway, of course some white tops look damn good on me after I've got a good tan so that makes me feel nice, I understand, don't get me wrong : ))
 Sssoooo again, pretty much doin' things without planning, just goin' and calling people around what's happening. On Monday, a picnic which belongs to summer like snow belongs to winter.



And a gorgeous night when I got out from the bus alone. It's just the smell of warm day and the moist of the night coming together and so warm that you can be in a hoodie and shorts. I just loooove those little moments and then you just start biking up and no one else around : ) Really hard to describe but rrally catching moment !

On Tuesday gathered spontaneusly together with my two rreally long-time friends from our nearby area, Henni and Venla and together we are, Rakisposse. Straight translation, Rocketgroup..Okay well how lame and unsexy is that..I might do RP-post later..
Well anyway, made pancakes and just like it always is, no one really listening the other, everyone going absolutely crazy and partying and jumping and yelling and gossiping and after the huuuge pile of pancakes, everyone just stares to a one point, not saying too much. That's some true love right there.
Didn't take any photos which was unfortunate cause for example Henni had white paint all over her face and hair. Gorgeous lady.

Then another warm and easy evening the next day. First bit of shoppiiing with my bike-fixer (who certainly has now turned into a competitor) and then ladies night with Anna, Jenni and Veera. Heaps of laughter and talking just absolutely nothing making sense. But good times !
And on my way back some taxi-drivers rreally hated me and my sportgear try out..Hahaha you know those middle-aged drivers with a big, expensive car and the worse thing they know is woman(especially young and gorgeous and who really doesn't give a shit) driving

a) a car
b) a big car
c) a car which looks pretty good
d) a car without a roof/ or just a cool car anyway
e) a car which makes the laps raise-noise

They juuust go mentally crazy and stare at you from the window. Then they automatically think you are try to competite them so they just make these absolute hilarious passes ans stops and slowing downs in front of you ! And the time is 00.15 on a Wednesday night on a complete empty motorway ! :DD dude, just don't bother.

This is just a wee snapshot of my real life at our summer-cottage where I spent most of my holiday time this summer cause I work there.
Well, many people think it might be working just a little, sunshine every day, super tan, hot beachvolley guys, a new summer-lover, heaps of partys in da city, light nights and all that stuff.
Well, everybody knows it REALLY isn't that.
I haven't lost my hope of course, it's only the second week of holiz but last weekend, it definetly wasn't even near of ANY of that shit. It was

                        OPERATION GOOD COFFEE


Saturday morning. Nobody in da house. Me and a lazy morning with a terrible migraine-after. 

This machine is staring at me, like " HEeeeyYY you foolish handless idiot. You can't use me"




Well, I was prepared, I wasn't to be hit to the ground this easily !!



Found a quite important element to this process..

























And yea, I've watched how my cappuchinos have been made in the cafe's in Italy so I knew this wrist-move well. I think..



And yea this move was also pretty vital in New Zealand so, NO WIN IN THERE EITHER, YOU MACHETE-MACHINE HA HA.





But the machine had a wild-card for me. "WARMING OF THE MACHINE", was the name of the game.





Well, the steam-pipe just went nuts. My camera wasn't quite quick enough to catch my face when I jumped about 3 metres back. The table did Titanic's. Which is always scary.

 


FINALLY, I got my shit together and pushed the button again. In a wee while, the OK-lights on and it is time to put the cup to it's place. Damn scary, I was sure the whole thing's gonna explode and at least somebody's inner organ's gonna fall to my Swedish made cappuchino-cup.








SWEET JESUS, IT LOOKS LIKE COFFEE !!! LOOK AT IT !

And the machine thought it's now gonna get another 2 years holiday. NOT IN MY HOODS BABE !
We're gonna go to the next level right away !

It is always a good idea to try to find company for something in Facebook.
I just made this thing sure yesterday when I about 00.30 in the night got an idea of biking to the town where I go to my high-school (about 16km) and lots of my mates live. It wouldn't be any new thing, my friend Hippie does that a lot but I just thought it would suck to bike alone.
I wanted to do this cause one of my mates could check my bike out and help me a bit cause I'm gonna tune by bike to faster, super fast !! So, I heard that today's gonna rain so I thought to do it early on the day. So I put this thing up in my Facebook about 00.37 in Wednesday night
"Looking for company for a bikingtrip for tomorrow. LEaving before the rain, on a trip there is a stereosystem and a nice girl"
Well, no one's answering. Of course everybody's working so everybody's pretty much sleeping. Well, one of very good mates, Annika, takes place and says "I'm in, leaving at 10.30"
And there we were, leaving at 10.30 this morning our backpacks packed and bike gums pumped up. Biked about 89metres "Let's take a break". We went to our sportstore and fixed Annikas seat and our journey continued. And we actually made it in 1 hour 12 minutes ! Amazing ! And it wasn't even that hard that we thought.



Well, the hardest part, the little store we were meant to have a snack, Ullan Grilli, was damn closed !! So we spent good couple of hourse in our lovely shopping mall, Myyrmanni. Was at its best in about 1997..Anyway, a good trip ! Did a nice wee trick to our bike-doctor cause he was too busy to meet us and through the unknown forest we found our way back home. Amazingly funny day, very spontaneous and not-prepared, just like it should be in the summertime. I love this kind of happenings, where you have a random company, random destination, not a plan and you just go with the flow. Sssooo me, llove it : )
And if you did't get it, my bike never got the fixing-plan that was the aim of this trip.



and then in the evening, nice wee BBQ with my girls : ) Had a good time just chilling, driving around and of course, eating.  anyway, to the summercotage and work tmrw, see what's gonna happen !



ps. one day not too far away there will be a photo of me and someone on a trip like that, just backpacks and the world. Would be cooooliooo ! And it WILL be.

First of all, I don't REALLY watch tv. Just if I know there's gonna be something on or some series I really want to follow. These series are

1. Grey's Anatomy
2. Hawaii 5-0






Earlier, it used to be all those murder-programmes like CSI's and Criminal Minds etc. Well, CSI Miami is the best ever, can't doubt that and I was like the biggest fan in Finland for about 4 years or so. I  used to know everything and everybody in there. But then, New Zealand happened. I didn't watch Miami that bad but every week we watched Criminal Minds and it just absolutely soaked my mind !! I loved it and knew everything about the characters. But on the other side, I've learnt to know all the different ways of surviving from prison, all the different ways of hiding the body, all the different ways of killing someone and especially, WHY.NOT.TO

-loan money from anyone/to anyone
-cheat your bf/gf/husband/wife
-deal with drugs
-kill anyone
-make anyone angry to yourself

Those programes have thought me life. As you can see. Yea I know, in Miami life is pretty sweet and everybody's rich and all sorts but also the things I just listed. Seriously ! It's a jungle out there !
But Criminal Minds was also a damn scary. I didn't realize it in NZ but when I got back to Finland and spent heaps of time alone at my home..geeeeees, I was so scared ! So I stopped completly watching all those programmes and now I'm over them.
Now it's only Meredith Grey and her friends in hospital. I cannot believe how some tv-programm can make me cry EVERY.SINGLE.WEEK. It's just so good. Again today, and yes, Alex Karev, please be my doctor so I could finally get over this flu !?

Aaaand Hawaii 5-0 you think. Well, that's just one of those programmes you look 2.30 Saturday night when you come home from the club, eating and thinking WHATT!?
This light-version of CSI is usually and in the best case scenario followed by amazing finnish programm, SUOMI-TYTÖT NEW YORKISSA (Finnish girls in New York). It's just sso funny, I love it ! Those girls are so much fun to follow with their HUGE problems like why they are having a small and normal hotel in Rauma?! (a very small town in Western Finland) Well, ladies, you've just come from New York and you are going to a Midsommer festival in Rauma, so what do you SERIOUSLY expect?? ahhahah I laughed my ass off. And also to this catastrophical even in the other girl's eventful life when she and her bf had forgotten their keys at home. So, they opened the door with the VISA-card and the girl just couldn't get over it !! She got totally mental about it ! hahhaha just so good entertainment.
ANd then there are my absolutely falls of New Zealand. The programm we used to watch every weekday with my kiwimom and-sister, Home and Away. It's SO good !! Almost like Salatut Elämät here in Finland, takes half an hour and is packed with so many relationships and problems that it's almost sick. How everyone gets involved with everyone and dead people come back etc. I really do miss those moments of watching H&A ! Luckily I can keep up in Youtube.
The other one is every kiwi-Wednesday's saviour, Packed to the Rafters. I totally fell in love with it and all the characters. So dramatical happenings, especially Mel's death just before I left NZ has stayed in my mind. I miss those tv-evenings !!





So yes, that's my relationship to television. Of course I watch programmes like Sex and the City, Gossip Girl, OC and Friends, but I just watch them when I need to, I don't follow them. Yes because 3/4 of them is finished but they always go in some channel so you know : ) They are awesome !
And I honestly thought that I'd keep same kind of blog that GG..hahaha always remember the humor in my journals ! Don't take me too seriously, please !

Yesterday was pretty damn good after all my hc-cleaning..Hanging out with couple of mates, just casual summer stuff.

Earlier I got this occasional inspiration to go to the forest with my dog. Haven't been there for a while but it was really nice cause it was like sso hot in there. It just brought to my mind that we are so lucky in here where I live that we have a forest like that but we are still not at a complete countryside. And cause this is a very popular suburb to build new houses for nice wee families, what will those forests look like in 10 years?

I'm pretty sure there will be another " Järvinen" or " Laiho" (family-names made out) nice wooden family
house with a Volvo or a Audi car in front of it. 
   Little boys from neighbourhood with their caps on doin' some skateboard tricks and girls running around with imagined ponys. Mommys fussing around the garden and a nice asfalted road going between those nice wee houses. Almost like Wisteria Lane minus all those catastrophical happenings !
But where do they play indians and cowboys? Where do they play like REAL hide and seek or go for a wee picnic? Where do their dogs catch their first bunnies, where they can hear all the birds? Just thinking, mate..






yep but that's enough about my nature-thoughts.
Today's thought was that there is this loovely new "cafe" in Helsinki. Not in the very central but near, it is called YOBOT. It is this new trendy thing, frozen yoghurt. We had that in New Zealand with my friends from their freezers but I like the idea to bring it to Helsinki. It's self-service, you just take the yoghurt and what you want on top (berries, different sorts of chokolade, muesli..) and then weight it and pay to go. The owner speaks English and he's so nice ! It's so cool to have little places like this in Helsinki, that's why I advertise it. And the word yoghurt and the guy telling us how he'd made the vanilla one to a low-fat yoghurt makes it sound ssooo much healthier than ice-cream. Summer stuff !

And then few drinks at Henry's Pub, shopping and the finish off with dinner in this, yes, very mainstream, and yes, very central, and yes, very popular, Vapiano. But it's food and it's damn good !
